John Stass is a multi-disciplined artist who works in the minimalist genre. He sculpts primarily in steel and wood.

In his earlier life as a designer of custom furniture for the music room, John’s work found its way throughout the world, often to a celebrity clientele, including Melissa Etheridge, Andy Griffith, and the Jay Leno Show. 

Today, John Stass is an independent artist.  In 2020 he served as “Artist in Residence” (Sculpture) at the art school of the University of Maine-Orono.  

Art plays a role in everyone’s existence… sometimes deliberately and at other times indirectly.  John has been fortunate to have incorporated art in many of its forms in all that has occupied his life.  He is honored to have the opportunity to share his art with you.

John Stass makes his home in central Maine.
